Mir hun keng Stëmm méi!

Luxembourg, 16th November 2022 The next major votes and the end of the year are coming closer. In the midst of this, we, Youth for Climate Luxembourg, are gearing up for our next action on November 26th at 6pm. This particular action however, is going to be very different from our previous strikes and actions, both tone-wise and organisation-wise.

After numerous strikes people have ignored our messages and diminished us to a group of "screaming" and "school-ditching" kids. This time around we will make sure the people will listen to our message by holding our first mute march: Mir hun keng Stëmm méi!

We call every individual who cares for our planet and wants to assure a safe environment for all future generations to join our march. The march will start at 6pm and end in front of the chamber. Everyone is welcome as long as you don’t bring signs or banners and preferably wear darker colours.

We want to highlight the importance of the coming votes and how the outcomes influence the climate crisis. There are enough studies out there proving our politics are on the wrong path. We cannot afford to continue like this any longer.

Everyone needs to be aware of how important it is to make your voice heard by voting for a better future for our planet. We also want to let every politician know that we are watching and even if we are choosing to hold a quiet strike we won’t back down under any circumstances.

We don’t want any more empty promises. We want to see change and we want to see it quickly!
